Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Lawn Care Program Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality lawn care services to residential customers by applying fertilizer and weed control treatments, performing aeration, and completing fall overseeding services.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong understanding of turf health and weed identification, and is driven to achieve outstanding results for our customers. This individual should be comfortable working independently, making informed treatment decisions, and ensuring every property receives the proper care and attention it deserves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply fertilizer and weed control treatments to residential lawns according to established programs and recommended application rates.
- Accurately identify common lawn weeds, turf types, and potential lawn health issues.
- Read, understand, and follow all product labels, application instructions, and safety requirements.
- Perform core aeration and fall overseeding services to promote healthy, thick, and attractive lawns.
- Properly calibrate, operate, and maintain application equipment and lawn care machinery.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate completed services and any concerns.
- Provide professional and courteous service while representing the company at customer properties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work vehicle and equipment.
- Follow all applicable pesticide, fertilizer, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge of lawn care practices, turfgrass health, and weed identification.
- Ability to accurately identify common broadleaf and grassy weeds.
- Familiarity with fertilizer products, herbicides, and recommended treatment practices.
- Ability to read and understand product labels, application rates, and safety instructions.
- Experience with lawn care applications, aeration, and overseeding preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily routes and responsibilities.
- Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
